Course Introduction:


The course will provide business managers with the fundamental concepts of accounting and finance management, so that they can handle day-to-day finance-related problems in a professional way. Furthermore, this course will help managers improve their performance by monitoring key figures and ratios in financial statements.


Course Objectives:


At the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the "Fundamental Accounting Concepts" and how the application of these concepts impact on the essence of business financial reporting.
  • Understand the importance of each of the 3 key financial statements (i.e. Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement and Cash Flow Statement), their limitation and relationship.
  • participants will gain insights and skill to read and interpret financial statements in order to understand the financial condition of a business enterprise.

  • 理解"基本会计概念"，以及这些概念是如何影响企业财务报告。
  • 了解这3个关键财务报表（即资产负债表，损益表和现金流量表）的重要性、局限性和相互关系。
  • 学员将获得阅读和解释财务报表的洞察力和技能，以便了解和评估企业财务状况。

Course Outline:


The key topics to be covered in this program are:

  • Introduction of basic finance concepts

Introduce basic concepts that help the participants relate to what they have already known in daily life, to remove the "fear" mentality if they run across such terminologies for the first time.

  • Financial Statements

Understand the 3 statements of Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow Statement.

  • Ratio Analysis

The four sets of rations that measure the performance of a company and department. Application of these ratios and analysis using benchmark figures.

  • Business decision making

Introduce cost accounting, including cost analysis and control and CVP analysis

  •  Budget making

The basic concepts in financial statements, the significance of using budgets and relationship between financial budgets and statements.

  • 财务报表

财务会计三大报表资产负债表、损益表和现金流量表的解读：包括基本结构、内在机制及相互之间的联系

 

  • 财务比率分析

衡量企业绩效的四组比率：获利能力比率、作业比率、流动资金比率杠杆比率。各组比率的公式表示及实际运算联系，如何解读这些比率以获知企业的经营状况

 

  • 经营决策分析

成本会计简介，包括成本分析和控制，以及量本利分析

 

  • 编制预算

财务报表的基本概念、使用预算的意义以及财务预算与报表的关系

    Simon老师曾担任著名的网大教育上海总经理兼市场经理三年，在此期间带领团队开拓了高端国外EMBA、网路学历教育和出国留学咨询的各项业务。此前，他曾在美国和上海担任包括埃森哲咨询公司在内的战略咨询项目经理负责韩国三星空调和现代汽车的中国市场进入项目。 1992至1996年间, 陈炜先生曾从事国际贸易工作，负责英国一家最大国际贸易公司的农业及工业产品的进出口贸易及销售。1996年他作为300名‘赴港专才’之一，去香港工作，任职一家大型制衣公司日本部项目经理。

  • For full-day sessions, AmCham Shanghai members are eligible to attend at "Member Rate"; Employees who work at AmCham Shanghai member companies are eligible to attend at "Employee Rate"; Non-members are eligible to attend at "Non-Member Rate".
  • Limited spaces are available and attendance will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
Walk-in and Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellation: If you need to cancel your registration for a half-day session, please notify David Ma at (86 21) 6169 3016 or email david.ma@amcham-shanghai.org no less than 24 hours in advance. If you need to cancel your registration for a full-day session, please notify David Ma at least two weeks prior to the session for a full refund. Cancellation made within two weeks before the session will not be refundable.
  • To ensure that you have a seat, please come to the session on time. Open seats will be released to other guests 15 minutes after the session starts.
