AmCham Shanghai's Education Committee invites representatives from leading universities in North America to discuss how they're coping with admissions and student affairs, specifically for students from China in this pandemic environment. The event will be held via webinar on May 7th, from 8:30-9:30 am. Speakers will share their views about the general environment as well as what their institutions are doing specifically.

    Lingjie Ma is currently a clinical associate professor in finance in the University of Illinois at Chicago. Lingjie is also an assistant dean in UIC business school responsible for international partnerships and MBA programs. Prio to UIC, Lingjie worked in the investment industry for fifteen years. Lingjie earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a frequent public speaker on quantitative investing and quantamental strategies.

    Director of China Liaison Office of Queen's University

    Dr. Zhiyao Zhang is the Director of Queen's-China Liaison Office and Adjunct Professor at Fudan University. From the year of 2000, he taught at the Royal Military College of Canada, studied and worked at Queen`s University. From the year 2007, he moved to Shanghai, working for Queen`s University as Liaison Officer in China, a guest professor at Fudan University.

    Working enthusiastically to bridge Queen`s university and China`s universities, research institutions, schools, government departments and agencies. In the year 2009, he successfully initiated, coordinated, two centres in collaboration with Fudan and Tongji: the Sino-Canada Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development; the Centre for Canadian Public Policy Studies at Fudan.
