Problem Solving and Decision Making skills are "Must Have" for today's manager. Problems are a fact or organizational life. In order to come up with creative and effective solutions, organizations must analyze their problems deeply and holistically. Such an approach will prevent the occurrence of recurrent problems and inter-functional issues. In today's ever-changing environment, it is necessary to equip employees with skills essential for problem-solving and decision-making.


At the end of the program, participants will be able to:

    Michelle (Weijia) Cai

    Michelle has more than 10 years experience working as a consultant in developing and implementing learning & development programs for many multinational companies in diverse industries, including Ernst & Young, Cisco Systems, Takeda, Henkel, and others.

    Michelle is a Certified Master Coach through Behavioral Coaching Institute (BCI) and is in the process of being certified through Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (WABC). She also is certified in Harrison Assessment© and the Team Diagnostic Tool by Team Coaching International. Her consulting and training subject expertise includes: Facilitation workshop, coaching skills for managers/leaders, personal effectiveness and professionalism in international business, effective performance management, emotional intelligence, and leadership development .

    Michelle is bilingual and bicultural, being born and raised in China and having studied and worked in the USA for 15 years. She is able to offer unique intercultural perspectives and bring valuable insights to both Western and Chinese professionals working in the global environment.

    Education backgruond:
    - Michelle received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1993 and her Master degree in 1995, both from Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics (now called Beihang University), Beijing, China.
    - Michelle received her Ph.D. in 2005 from Indiana University, Bloomington, USA.

Registration

  • All registrations shall be made online before the session. For full-day sessions, payment also shall be made before the session.
  • For full-day sessions, AmCham Shanghai members are eligible to attend at "Member Rate"; Employees who work at AmCham Shanghai member companies are eligible to attend at "Employee Rate"; Non-members are eligible to attend at "Non-Member Rate".
  • Limited spaces are available and attendance will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Members please bring your membership card and non-members bring your business card upon check-in at the training session.
Walk-in and Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellation: If you need to cancel your registration for a half-day session, please notify David Ma at (86 21) 6169 3016 or email david.ma@amcham-shanghai.org no less than 24 hours in advance. If you need to cancel your registration for a full-day session, please notify David Ma at least two weeks prior to the session for a full refund. Cancellation made within two weeks before the session will not be refundable.
  • To ensure that you have a seat, please come to the session on time. Open seats will be released to other guests 15 minutes after the session starts.
