The Zhejiang Zhoushan Archipelago New Area is located in the eastern part of Zhejiang Province at the outer edge of the Hangzhou Bay and the South of Shanghai City. As one of the central cities in the area of the Yangtze River Delta, Zhoushan has primarily formed an open economic system with distinct oceanic characteristics featuring harbor industry, port logistics, oceanic tourism and marine fishery. Zhoushan Archipelago New Area is China's first state-level new district with an emphasis on marine economy. It is a free trade area featuring oil-gas industrial chain.
