Now days the global economy is facing profound changes. International trade tensions and exchange rate fluctuations are intensifying. Productions and business operations of enterprises, especially management of foreign currency funds, are facing severe challenges. The Agricultural Bank of China will hold this session to help members of AmCham Shanghai better manage trends in the RMB exchange rate, seize business opportunities, and maintain a stable financial status.
The session will analyze the global economy in 2019, comprehensively study the development of major economies such as Europe, the U.S., China and Japan, and the evaluate the direction of macro policy. The session will also talk about fundamentals for RMB, the influence of current account and capital account transactions on the exchange rate, and forecast RMB exchange rate trends considering China-U.S. trade negotiations, interaction between onshore RMB and offshore RMB, instability of the U.S. Dollar Index, etc. In addition, the session will introduce financial products from the Agricultural Bank of China to help manage exchange rate risk and strategies for using financial derivatives.
