AmCham Shanghai's Trade & Investment Center invites you to this event on April 11th from 2:00-4:00 pm at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Center. Representatives from Xi'an Hi-tech Industries Development Zone will share their insights, demonstrate potential investment opportunities in Xi'an and elaborate on the existing preferential policies in the area. In addition, guest speakers from two major foreign companies in Xi'an Hi-tech Zone will share their success stories in the industrial park.

上海美国商会贸易投资中心邀请您参加4月11日下午2点至4点上海美国商会会议中心举行的西安高新技术产业开发区展示活动。西安高新技术产业开发区的代表将分享他们对行业发展的见解,展示西安潜在的投资机会并详细阐述该地区现有的优惠政策。此外,来自西安高新技术产业开发区园区的两大外资企业代表分享他们的成功故事。


Xi'an Hi-tech Industries Development Zone (thereafter referred as Xi'an Hi-tech Zone)was established in March 1991, as first group of state level hi-tech zone approved by the State Council. With the comprehensive development indices and science and technology innovation capabilities ranking top 5 among all the national hi-tech zones in China, Xi'an Hi-tech Zone was chosen by state government as one of the six development zones to be built into world class science park with favorable support. Xi'an Hi-tech Zone has been recognized as one of the six "Most Dynamic Cities and Regions of China"by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). In September, 2015, Xi'an Hi-tech Zone was approved by the state council to be developed as National Innovation Demonstration Zone. In April, 2017, Xi'an Hi-tech Zone was identified as the core area of China (Shaanxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

西安高新区是1991年3月经国务院首批批准设立的国家级高新区。近年来西安高新区综合发展指标及科技创新竞争力居全国国家级高新区前列,被联合国工业发展发展组织考察认定为6个"中国最具活力的城市和地区"之一,是国家确定要建成世界一流科技园区的六个高新区之一。2015年8月,国务院正式批复同意西安高新区建设国家自主创新示范区。2017年4月1日,中国(陕西)自由贸易试验区正式挂牌,西安高新功能区作为陕西自贸区核心片区扬帆起航。


Xi'an Hi-tech Zone focuses on development of four pillar industries including electronic information, advanced equipment manufacturing, bio-pharmaceutical and modern service. In 2018, Xi'an Hi-tech Zone has realized GDP of 157 billion RMB. There are about 80000 enterprises registered in the zone. With strong industrial foundation, competitive operation cost and rich human resources in Xi'an, more and more technology based companies have built their presences in Xi'an Hi-tech Zone, such as Samsung, Siemens, Honeywell, GE, Emerson, IBM, Applied Materials, Micron, Johnson & Johnson, Bosch, Intel, Schneider, Shell, Caterpillar, Eaton, NEC, Fujitsu etc. Well known Chinese leading companies such as Huawei, ZTE, BYD, Fast Gear, IFLYTEK, HIKVISION etc. have all established their R&D or manufacturing bases in Xi'an Hi-tech Zone.

西安高新区全力发展高新技术产业,形成了电子信息、先进制造、生物医药、现代服务业四大主导产业。2018年,西安高新区实现生产总值1576.96亿元,区内累计注册企业超过8万家。依托西安雄厚的产业基础,具有竞争力的生产成本及丰富的人力资源,西安高新区大力发展外向型经济。已有三星、西门子、霍尼韦尔、英特尔、艾默生、IBM、通用电气、施耐德、应用材料、美光、博世等100余家世界500强及著名跨国企业在此设立全球研发中心或生产基地。比亚迪、法士特、神州数码、中兴、华为、科大讯飞、海康威视等众多国内行业领先企业也在西安高新区实现了成功快速的发展。

    Senior Director, Government Relations APAC of Honeywell (China) Co., Ltd

    Elaine Chen is Senior Director of Government Relations APAC of Honeywell China based in Shanghai. Elaine is responsible for the strategic development and management of Honeywell’s government relations programs in China Regional.

    Since Elaine joined Honeywell in 2007, she broadly participated Honeywell business growth and development strategy and has brought abundant experience in promoting, operating China industry relationship and government relationship as well as cooperation with different levels of government. Before joining Honeywell, Elaine worked in Intel Shanghai as higher education manager, public affairs manager and government affairs manager. Before that, she worked in the Northeast University of China and Temasek Polytechnic of Singapore.

    Elaine obtained her bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Jilin University China, and master’s degree in Science from National University of Singapore.

    Mr. Gu Haiwen, is the Deputy Director General of the Administrative Committee of Xi’an Hi-tech Industries Development Zone. He is in charge of the work on industry, information technology, investment promotion, agricultural water conservancy and other aspects in Xi’an Hi-tech Zone. Before that, he served as deputy director and director of the Xi'an High-tech Zone Talent Service Center and director of the Investment Promotion Bureau.

    Daniel has over 15 years’ working experience in international and domestic market research and development consultancy studies. As a key advisor to property investors and developers, he looks after JLL’s market leading real estate research service in China: Real Estate Intelligence Service (REIS) and Logistics Intelligence Service (LIS). He has extensive experience in providing real estate advisory and consulting services to both international and Chinese developers, investors and corporates.

    Jones Lang LaSalle Research Department has received internationally important awards in recent years, such as 2017, 2018 RICS Annual Research Team Excellence Award.

    Daniel is responsible for writing and coordinating JLL’s regular research publications, and focuses on tracking and analyzing government policies and economic data and updates internal and external clients on the implications of related economic or policy changes. And cover the office, retail, residential, and industrial property sectors, logistics real estate market and emerging property types such as data centers and pension real estate in the key cities in mainland China.
