The AmCham Shanghai Manufacturers' Business Council is pleased to invite you to the 2025 China Manufacturing Outlook, taking place on Wednesday, March 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the AmCham Shanghai Conference Room.

    Cherry Zhu

    Greater China President at Dow

    Cherry Zhu is currently president of Dow Greater China. She leads the strategic business growth, market development and financial performance for the region. She also plays a key role enhancing company’s employee experience in Greater China and advancing a culture of inclusion and diversity.

    Previously, Cherry was global product director for Dow Consumer Solutions responsible for leading Engineered Materials and Elastomers growth and managing business Profit & Loss.

    Zhu joined Dow in 2001 as technical service & development engineer for Engineering Plastics in China. Since 2004, she had taken on various leadership roles, including product manager for glass bonding adhesives in Europe, Asia Pacific commercial director for Dow Automotive Systems, and Asia Pacific product director for Dow Elastomers.

    Cherry earned her master’s degree in Polymer Science & Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2000 and her MBA from Northwood University, USA in 2010. She stays with her family in Shanghai.

    Mr. Chen provides overall leadership to InterChina’s M&A advisory, corporate finance, and investment advisory practice. He is a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Clients include global fortune 500 and mid-sized multinational and Chinese companies.

    Mr. Chen has over 20 years cross border mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, and strategic planning experience in the infrastructure/logistics, consumer, technology, manufacturing, retail, and financial service sectors. He led and advised over 200 M&A and divestiture transactions in North America, Asia Pacific, and European regions. Transaction size range from $50M to $8 billion

    Prior to InterChina, Barry worked with Price Waterhouse and UPS in the corporate development function. He also has long-time collaboration with all leading investment banking firms including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, UBS, and JP Morgan. He has extensive experience in deal origination, evaluating cross-border acquisitions in a strategic context, structuring complex transactions, valuing, and integrating the acquired companies, and managing complex divestment transactions. He is an experienced negotiator and has extensive senior-level contacts and origination capacity.

    Harry is a Founding Managing Partner of ClearVue Partners and has 33 years of senior management and private equity experience. Harry was most previously Managing Director of CP Equity China, working with US based private equity firm Catterton Partners to bring global consumer brands to China and identifying investments for their global fund.

    Prior to that, Harry was Chief Marketing Officer of Pepsico Greater China. Brands under his management included Pepsi Cola, Gatorade, Tropicana, Dole, 7UP, Mirinda, Starbucks, and Lipton tea. Harry was also VP of corporate relations for the Pepsico Investment Co. Ltd, where he was responsible for identifying investment and partnership opportunities for the company.

    Prior to Pepsico, Harry had been at the forefront of the media/music industries in Asia for over 10 years, as Managing Director of MTV N. Asia, and as President of Universal Music SE Asia, where he led the companies through significant revenue growth and business model transformation.

    During his tenure at Universal and Pepsi, Harry was responsible for creating the leading hit television shows "ๆˆ‘ๅž‹ๆˆ‘SHOW" and Pepsi's "Battle of the Bands" for the China market.
