Qingpu District lies in the western suburbs of Shanghai. It adjoins Minhang District and borders Songjiang District as well as Jinshan District of Shanghai. It is honored as the gate of Shanghai because it connects Jiashan County of Zhejiang Province on the south and Kunshan of Jiangsu Province in the west. It is the earliest human habitat in Shanghai with more than 6,000 years of history. It has abundant natural landscape resources and humanities tourism resources.
