2019 Future Leaders of the Year Awards

To recognize the leadership and success of young professionals, AmCham Shanghai is now accepting nominations for the 2019 Future Leaders of the Year Awards!

Nomination Deadline: July 19, 2019

Show your current and future employers that you're a trailblazer in the community! Recognize your own achievements or nominate another young professional for AmCham Shanghai's Future Leaders of the Year Awards.

CRITERIA:

Both AmCham Shanghai members as well as non-members under the age of 41 may be nominated. Finalists will be selected by a panel of expert judges in July and will be invited to attend the Awards ceremony at AmCham Shanghai's Member Briefing on Tuesday, August 6th. Finalists will be given a few minutes to showcase their achievements in the form of a speech, the winner of each category will then be chosen through a live vote by the audience. A panel of judges will pre-select the finalists in these three award categories:

• Future Leader of the Year Award
• Entrepreneurship Award
• Social Impact Award

FUTURE LEADER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Criteria:

• Leadership: Demonstrates proven leadership ability through influential positions in profession and community
• Experience: Has over three years of professional experience in China and demonstrates clear trajectory and growth in career
• Adaptability: Ability to excel in a cross-cultural environment, manage a diverse team and demonstrate innovate approaches to resolving cultural misunderstandings
• Vision: Conveys a clear vision of long-term professional goals

ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARD

Criteria:

• Ownership: Is an owner, partner or share-holder of at least 25 percent of a business based in Shanghai and demonstrates positive social and/or economic impact in the region
• Innovation: Demonstrates commitment and passion for transforming traditional practices through an innovative product, service, approach or idea
• Perseverance: Demonstrates capacity to be an independent thinker, to overcome business obstacles and to take risks in the face of uncertainty
• Scalability: Innovates business model for sustainable growth, and has demonstrated capability for long-term success

SOCIAL IMPACT AWARD

Criteria:

• Commitment: Demonstrates enduring commitment to giving back to the community and strong determination
• Impact: Impact: Shows capacity to run scalable impact-driven initiatives that address UN sustainable development goals (SDGs); and illustrate the chosen SDG(s), the corresponding measurable impact, and the social influence in the ecosystem that the initiative has achieved
• Sustainability: Create a model of sustainable development, with a view to support community over a long-term course

RECOGNITION:

• 10,000 RMB AmCham Shanghai Training Credit
• Five hours of coaching from AmCham Shanghai Mentor in their field
• Recognition on AmCham Shanghai Website and WeChat account
• Feature in AmCham Shanghai's Insight Magazine
• An interview by our digital content team, showcasing your achievement via a video, which you can share with clients
