Since the major adjustment to U.S. visa policies in September 2025, the review mechanisms, procedural norms, and entry criteria for non-immigrant visas in the United States have continued to evolve, with new interpretations and cases constantly emerging at the policy implementation level. Entering 2026, visa policies have shown a trend of "stricter and more detailed" enforcement, with administrative reviews becoming routine, eligibility thresholds becoming more refined, and industry-specific restrictions becoming clearer—realities that both businesses and individuals must confront when traveling to the U.S.
Recently, relevant U.S. authorities have signaled further tightening in areas such as the H1B lottery system, substantive reviews of L1A intracompany transferee executives/managers, B1/B2 visa entry and exit management, and F1 visa renewals and OPT (Optional Practical Training) for STEM majors.
