It is likely that companies will begin to feel increasing collateral damage as U.S.-China relations begin to unwind, tech tensions continue to mount, and both countries settle in to what may become a protracted trade conflict. It is therefore important for companies to stay abreast of shifts in U.S.-China relations. Continuing our ongoing dialogue with the U.S.-China Business Council, AmCham Shanghai and USCBC invite you to a morning debrief between our two organizations. AmCham Shanghai President Ker Gibbs and USCBC President Craig Allen will discuss their expectations for the bilateral relationship and how American business in China will be affected. Speakers will present both the Washington and Shanghai perspectives. A light breakfast will be served. This program is off the record.
This event is an AmCham Shanghai Government Policy Support (GPS) workshop. The GPS series brings together different voices to deep-dive into Chinese government policy and its effects on American companies in China. In 2019 the program is focused across three tracks: U.S.-China Relations; Supply Chains; and R&D and Innovation. For more information about the GPS program, please contact Daniel Rechtschaffen at daniel.rechtschaffen@amcham-shanghai.org.
