The center of gravity for the production of semiconductors has increasingly shifted to China in recent years. However, much of the value-added associated with semiconductor production is captured by core companies headquartered outside China. As the largest semiconductor market for semiconductor, China is seeking greater control and autonomy over the sector.
Please join us on from 10-12 pm on October 31 for a talk from Professor Seamus Grimes, who has spent the past 10 years studying and analyzing China's position in global value chains. In his talk, Professor Grimes will share his findings and insights on the emerging role and status of global value chains and ICT manufacturing in China, at a time of change and uncertainty in the global economy.
Industry players will join the panel discussion followed by Prof. Grimes' talk.
