Amid the rapid changes and uncertainties in the business world, the ability to execute effectively has become the most important traits in ensuring business success. The ability to build a strong business case (business acumen) through acquiring knowledge in financial literacy, balancing priorities/risk, stakeholders' management as well as the use of latest AI technology etc., is crucial to reaching business goals and objectives.

Introduction

This course is designed to equip business leaders with the necessary methodologies, tools and applications of Project Management as an effective tool to build transparency and effectiveness into delivery of business results.  

 

After the course, participants will command the necessary skills in building a strong business case, ensuring project success through alignment of business objectives with company's strategic directions; manage the expectations and communications with stakeholders' to ensure getting buy-in and applying resources in resolving problems/ conflicts along the way of the project; as well as leveraging latest AI technology in enhancing execution effectiveness.  

This training will be highly interactive and practical, using the most updated PMP Exam syllabus released in 2021; combined with practical case studies and exercises for real life application. Participants should expect to engage in discussions, case studies and other activities.

    Catherine Leung

    PMP® number 3057444

    Catherine Leung is a renowned professional training provider in Asia with over 15 years of experience in providing professional training programs to individuals and corporate members. Catherine is also the China Coordinator for NeuGroup, a membership based community for MNC AsiaCFOs.

    Catherine graduated from the HK Science & Technology University with a Master Degree in Business Administration. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a certified trainer of MBTI, DiSC, Enneagram, Chartered Wealth Manager and a Master Trainer in Neuro Linguistic Programming.

    Her career in Hong Kong and Shanghai spanned over various internationally prestigious international banks including Citibank, Bank of America, ANZ, etc. She moved to Shanghai with Citibank in 2007 where she became the Global Client Director for Chinese National Corporates. She was the Head of MNC, East China during her days with ANZ in China.

    She travels extensively across Asian, Europe and USA and brings with her business insights from over 15 years of experience in China. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and conversational in Korean.

  • All registrations shall be made online before the session. For full-day sessions, payment also shall be made before the session.
  • For full-day sessions, AmCham Shanghai members are eligible to attend at "Member Rate"; Employees who work at AmCham Shanghai member companies are eligible to attend at "Employee Rate"; Non-members are eligible to attend at "Non-Member Rate".
  • Limited spaces are available, and attendance will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellation: If you need to cancel your registration for a half-day session, please notify Cynthia Xia at (86 21) 6169 3016 or email Cynthia.Xia@amcham-shanghai.org no less than 48 hours in advance. If you need to cancel your registration for a full-day session, please notify Cynthia Xia at least working days prior to the session for a full refund. Cancellation made within 2 working days before the session will charge 20% ticket fee.
  • To ensure that you have a seat, please come to the session on time. Open seats will be released to other guests 15 minutes after the session starts.
