AmCham Shanghai's Future Leaders Committee invites you to the 2025 AmCham Shanghai Future Leaders Awards Ceremony on December 2 from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Center.


This is an evening dedicated to celebrating emerging talent and learning directly from senior leaders shaping the next generation of global leadership. We will recognize the finalists and announce the 2025 award recipients, followed by a panel discussion designed to deliver real-world insight into what "future leadership" looks like inside major multinational organizations today.


Our speakers will share perspectives on how leadership expectations are evolving, how they identify high-potential talent, and the mindsets and skills young professionals need to succeed in a rapidly changing workplace.


Discussion topics include:

  • Hongfei Zheng (Managing Director of Cargill Investments (China) Co., Ltd.)

    Hongfei Zheng

    Managing Director of Cargill Investments (China) Co., Ltd.

    Hongfei is currently the Managing Director of Cargill Animal Nutrition China. Before her role at Cargill, she served as Vice President, Strategy, Knowledge & Insights for Coca-Cola’s businesses in Greater China and Korea from 2018-2020 and was responsible for corporate and portfolio strategy, consumer, competitor, and brand tracking, deep-dive insights, business intelligence, and planning. She successfully built Coca-Cola’s 2025 Greater China strategy.

    Prior to Coca-Cola, Hongfei worked at Cargill Greater China as the Head of Strategy and Corporate Development from 2016-2018. She is a member of Cargill China's leadership team and has worked closely with its global CEO, executive team members, and board members to develop APAC and China strategies and investments and has successfully established five-year strategies for Cargill China, leading multiple investments and acquisitions.

    Hongfei also previously worked at Hilti Ltd., a European engineering solution company as the Head of Oil &Gas and Chemical Business in China from 2013-2016, and the Marketing Director of APAC. She successfully managed to double the business income and triple profit growth in two years. Before that, Hongfei worked at Bain & Co. for eight years as a case team leader and board manager, offering strategy consulting services to multinational and Chinese enterprises.

    Hongfei obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Economics degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with a Master’s at Ecole Centrale de Lyon Diplôme d'Ingénieur France and an MBA from INSEAD (France).

    Henry Ding is Global Senior Vice President of 3M and President of 3M China. In this role, Henry is responsible for the leadership and management of 3M’s largest business group – Safety & Industrial Business Group in Greater China Area. He also expands his responsibilities to include the leadership of 3M China, responsible for Corporate Affairs and Enterprise Governance, working to enhance 3M’s overall brand and reputation while driving the Safety and Industrial business growth in Greater China Area.

    Henry joined 3M China in 1993. In 2003, he is appointed as Manager of Electronic and Electrical Markets Group. Since then, Henry assumed increasing leadership responsibilities in leading business teams across diverse markets. He served as Director of Electronics and Energy Business Group, Greater China Area in 2010 and as Director of Industrial and Transportation Business Group, 3M China and 3M Hong Kong in 2014. In 2017, Henry took the post of International Business Director of Industrial Adhesive and Tapes Division and relocated to 3M U.S. headquarters. And most recently Henry was moved to Singapore in 2020, served as Vice President of Industrial Adhesive and Tapes Division, 3M Asia. In December 2021, Henry was appointed Global Senior Vice President of 3M and President of 3M China, and is now based in Shanghai, China.

    Henry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Polymer Chemistry from the Shanghai School of Technology as well as an Executive Business Management Diploma from the China European International Business School (CEIBS).

    Before Google, Di worked as Head of Legal and Business Development - APAC for GoPro and Managing Associate at King & Wood Mallesons.

    Di graduated from SISU Law School and received his Master of Laws in Stanford Law School and a Master of Humanitarian Law jointly by Law School of Peking University and Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.

By leveraging the dynamic ecosystem and entrepreneurial talents in China, Carol will help to accelerate the implementations of innovations and new business models, to create a new beauty business as the next growth driver of the Shiseido group on a global level. Previously, she has held a number of management positions at multinational firms such as Unilever, Burberry, L’Oréal, and Marriott where she has led global strategy & innovation functions across regions and categories.

    Carol received her undergraduate degree from New York University's Stern Business School and her MBA from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

He has been named an Asia 21 Next Generation Fellow and elected Chair of the American Chamber of Commerce Shanghai Future Leaders Committee.
