In March 2018, the General Administration of Customs announced new Measures for Enterprise Customs Credit Rating (中华人民共和国海关企业信用管理办法, GAC Order No. 237), which took effect on May 1, 2018 and replaced previous Interim Measure No. 225. The new Measures include significant regulatory changes including the requirement that companies submit their enterprise credit information in an annual report and new treatment measures for companies in different categories. The new regulation, along with its new standards and procedures are expected to bring both opportunities and challenges to member companies' import and export operations.
